Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how Zyumer Labs Private Limited, the company behind twidge, collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the twidge app and the website twidge.ai (together, "the Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us, device data you allow us to read, and information about how you use the Services.
Account and profile information
- Sign-in details: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, your email address and a unique account ID from that provider. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive a private relay address instead of your email.
- Profile details you add: username, display name, bio and profile photo.
- Before you sign in: the app creates a temporary account linked to your device so that it can work. It is not linked to your name or email.
Content you create
- twidges and mini apps you create, edit, publish or share, and the values you enter in them
- Messages you send in chat, and images you attach to them
- Comments, reactions and follows
- twidges you invite people to or join
- Email addresses you enter to get access to a twidge that is limited to certain email domains
Device data you allow us to read
Some twidges show data from your device. We read this data only after you give permission, and only for twidges that need it.
- Apple Health: see "Apple Health and other device data" below.
- Calendar: the title and start time of your next upcoming event.
- Location: your current location, read only while you are using the app.
- Photos: only the images you choose to attach in chat or use as your profile photo. When you save a share image, we add it to your library without reading your other photos.
- Camera: only when you take a new profile photo.
Connected accounts
You can connect a third-party account, such as Gmail, GitHub or Spotify, to a twidge. You sign in with that service and approve the access it asks for. We then receive the data the twidge needs from that account, and the account name or email address so you can tell your accounts apart.
Purchase information
See "Subscriptions and in-app purchases" below.
Usage and device information
- Device details: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone and IP address.
- Identifiers: an app-specific device identifier and a Firebase installation ID. We do not use your device's advertising identifier.
- App usage: screens you view, buttons you tap, links you open and where you share content.
- Home Screen twidges: when they refresh, when you add or remove them, and when you tap their buttons.
- Crash reports and diagnostics.
- Notification tokens: push notification and Live Activity tokens, so we can send you notifications.
Website information
When you visit our website, twidge.ai, we collect:
- Waitlist sign-ups: the email address you give us to join the waitlist.
- Approximate location: your country and time zone, worked out from your connection.
- How you found us: a referral code or the link you followed, if there was one.
- Cookies: Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookies that show how visitors use the site and measure our ads. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland they load only after you accept them.
How we use your information
We use your information to run twidge and make it better. Specifically, we use it:
- To provide the Services: to create your account, sign you in, and show your twidges and keep them up to date in the app and on your Home Screen.
- To show device data in twidges: to display the Health, calendar and location data you allowed, in the twidges you added.
- To power AI features: to answer your chat messages and to create twidges and mini apps from your requests. We send your messages, and any images you attach, to an AI model provider only after you agree to it in the app.
- For social features: to show your public profile and published twidges, and to show comments, reactions, follows and shared twidges to the people you share with.
- For subscriptions and rewards: to process your Pro subscription and give you invite rewards.
- To send notifications: to send the push notifications and Live Activities you allowed.
- To communicate with you: to provide support, send product updates, and tell people on the waitlist when twidge is ready. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time.
- To improve the Services: to understand how people use twidge, fix crashes and build new features.
- For safety and legal reasons: to keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of use, and comply with the law.
Your username, display name, bio, profile photo, follower counts and published twidges are public. Anyone can see them, including people without a twidge account.
AI features and your consent
twidge uses AI model providers to answer your chat messages and to make twidges from what you describe. Before anything you write is sent to an AI model provider, we ask for your permission in the app. We send only what the feature needs, such as your message and any images you attach, and only to get you a response.
Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we use your information only when the law allows it:
- To provide the Services you asked for: your account, your twidges, your subscription and support. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- With your consent: Apple Health data (your explicit consent), calendar, location, photos and camera, sending your messages to AI model providers, website cookies, and promotional messages. You can withdraw consent at any time, and it won't affect what we did before.
- For our legitimate interests: keeping the Services secure, preventing fraud and abuse, understanding how people use twidge so we can improve it, and the waitlist. We make sure these interests don't override your rights.
- To meet legal obligations: keeping tax and accounting records, and responding to lawful requests.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases
twidge offers an optional paid subscription, twidge Pro, with monthly and annual plans. Some plans may include a free trial or an introductory price.
Payments are handled by Apple
All purchases are made with your Apple ID and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your credit card, debit card or other payment details. Apple's handling of your payment information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Information we receive about your subscription
When you start, renew, restore or cancel a subscription, we and RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receive:
- The plan you bought, its price and currency, and your App Store country or region
- Transaction details, such as transaction IDs, the purchase date, renewal and expiry dates, and whether auto-renew is on
- Whether you used a free trial, an introductory price or a promotional offer, and whether you are eligible for one
- Your twidge account ID, which links the subscription to your account
- Basic device and app information, such as device type, operating system version, app version and IP address
If you cancel in the app, we may ask why you are leaving. Answering is optional. We use your answer and any comment you write only to improve twidge.
How we use subscription information
- To unlock Pro features and keep your subscription status correct on all your devices
- To restore your purchases when you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device
- To check whether you can get a free trial, an introductory price or a special offer
- To prevent fraud and misuse of trials and offers
- To provide customer support
- To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations
We do not sell your subscription or purchase information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Invites and rewards
If you invite friends, we record who joined through your invite link so we can give you the rewards you earned, such as extra twidges. We use this only to give you those rewards and to stop the invite programme being misused.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
How payment, automatic renewal, cancellation and refunds work is set out under Subscriptions in our Terms of use. In short: you can cancel at any time in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, and deleting your twidge account or uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
Apple Health and other device data
twidge reads Apple Health data only with your permission, and only to show it in the twidges you add. We never use health data for advertising, marketing or data mining, and we never sell it.
What we read
We read only the types your twidges need, and you choose which ones to allow on Apple's Health permission screen. Depending on your twidges, these may include:
- Activity: steps, distance, active energy, flights climbed, exercise and stand time, and workouts
- Heart and vitals: heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, blood pressure, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, body temperature and VO2 max
- Body measurements: weight, height, BMI and body fat
- Nutrition: calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, water, caffeine, sugar, sodium and fibre
- Sleep and mindfulness: sleep hours and stages, and mindful minutes
- Mobility and hearing: walking speed, step length, falls and sound levels
We do not write any data to Apple Health.
How we use it
- We send the summary values your twidges show, such as today's step count or last night's sleep, to our servers. These values are linked to your account.
- We send them when you open the app, and in the background about every 15 minutes, so your Home Screen twidges stay current.
- We do not share health data with third parties for advertising, marketing or data mining.
- We do not send health data to our analytics or crash-reporting providers.
Calendar and location
Calendar and location data follow the same rules. We read them only for twidges that need them, and use them only to show those twidges.
Turning access off
You can turn off access at any time:
- Health: go to Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > twidge on your iPhone.
- Calendar, location, photos and camera: go to Settings > twidge.
twidges that need that data will stop showing it.
Service providers and sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers below, which help us run twidge. Each provider may use your information only to provide its service to us, and must protect it at least as well as this policy requires.

International transfers
Zyumer Labs is based in India, and some of our service providers are in the United States and other countries. Your information may be processed outside the country you live in. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we protect it with safeguards the law recognises, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK's addendum to them.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide the Services, or as long as the law requires.
- Account, profile, content and device data: kept while your account is active, and deleted when you delete your account.
- Chat conversations: kept until you delete them in the app, or until you delete your account.
- Subscription and transaction records: kept as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account.
- Waitlist sign-ups: kept until you ask us to remove you.
- Analytics and crash data: kept for a limited time to understand usage and fix problems.
- Legal holds: we may keep some information longer if we need it to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or comply with the law.
Data security
We use technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and secure storage on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
You control your information. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your information
- Withdraw consent you gave us, such as access to Health, calendar or location data, or sending your messages to AI model providers
- Get a copy of your information in a portable format
- Object to or restrict how we use your information
- Opt out of promotional messages
You can do much of this in the app yourself:
- Profile: edit your name, username, bio and photo on your profile.
- Device permissions: turn Health, calendar, location, photos and camera access on or off in your iPhone's Settings.
- Notifications: turn push notifications on or off in twidge's Settings.
- Chats: delete conversations from your chat history.
- Connected accounts: turn a connected account off in Settings > Connected apps. To fully revoke access, also remove twidge in that service's own account settings.
For anything else, email us at admin@zyumer.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within the time the law requires.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). We'd appreciate the chance to help first, so please contact us.
Data deletion
You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app.
- On Home, tap your profile photo.
- Tap the gear icon at the top right to open Settings.
- Tap Account settings, then Delete account.
- Tap Yes, delete to confirm.
When you delete your account:
- Your profile, twidges, Home Screen layouts, and the content you created or shared are deleted.
- Links and cards you shared stop working.
- twidges already on your Home Screen stop updating. You can remove them by touching and holding them.
- We keep only the records the law requires us to keep, as described in "Data retention".
Deleting your account does not cancel your twidge Pro subscription. Cancel it first in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. If you can no longer use the app, email admin@zyumer.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by the laws of your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at admin@zyumer.com and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Services may contain links to other websites and services, for example when you connect a third-party account. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and services. Please read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the app or by email.
